Royal Wootton Bassett Town fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Melksham Town in their penultimate friendly.
Jack Camm's powerful drive from the edge of the area midway through the first half was all that separated the teams in an open encounter.
There were plenty of chances throughout the match at either end, though it was the Southern League visitors who were more threatening.
While Melksham were ultimately deserved winners, there were sufficient positives for Bassett to take from what was a tough test against step four opponents.
