After two straight league defeats, Royal Wootton Bassett Town bounced back to winning ways as Sam Collier's completed a season double over Wiltshire rivals Bradford Town, triumphing 2-1 at the Sustain Stadium.

Having stunned the Bobcats 5-0 in the reverse fixture courtesy of an outstanding team performance, this time around a stunning individual effort set Bassett on their way.

After just quarter of an hour, Jack Hobson-McVeigh rocked a thumping 25-yard strike that left Bradford 'keeper Jonathan Hilll, caught off guard by the effort, grasping at thin air as the ball flew into the net.

That long range effort - Hobson-McVeigh's trademark with all three of his goals so far this campaign coming from outside the area - was to be all that separated the sides at the break after an otherwise closely contested opening period.

Seth Wain forced a save from Matt Crowther after twisting past a couple of defenders ten minutes into second half as Bradford sought to get back on terms.

But it was to be the hosts who grabbed the all important second goal of the match as Bailey Gallagher, scoring for the first time in over a month, cut inside from the left and squeezed an effort past Hill, which the 'keeper will likely feel he could have done better with.

That came with twenty minutes to go and seemingly put Bassett on course for the win.

But Bradford made sure the closing stages would be interesting as they responded quickly, Ruben Marques steering into the corner of the net from Bevan Cross' cut back.

However, Bassett would see the game out to make it maximum points for the season against Bradford.
