A late Luke Whelan winner earned Royal Wootton Bassett Town a 1-0 win away at Cribbs in the Wiseman Lighting Floodlit Cup first round.
Whelan cut inside from the left and curled a towering beauty of an effort from the edge of the area into the top right corner with just five minutes to go to decide a closely fought tie of limited chances.
Both teams made a number of changes from their league encounter just ten days ago, with the managers rotating their squad after a hectic run of games.
For Bassett, that gave opportunities to youngsters Jed Afenyo, Harry Walters and Jowan Partridge, all of who impressed.
And those players entrusted by manager Sam Collier on the night ultimately got the job done thanks to Whelan's stunning winner, progressing into the last sixteen of the competition.
