Big win away at Highworth Juniors

Second and third placed Stratton Juniors did not play allowing fourth placed Wootton Bassett to close the gap following an 8-1 away win at Highworth Juniors. Playing with the wind it was the home side who took the lead on 19 minutes with a stunning strike from thirty yards. Phil Tearle equalised for Bassett three minutes later before the same player set up Phil Forster to give Bassett a 2-1 lead at the break. Bassett made better use of the wind advantage in the second period and scored six without reply through Aaron Stevens (3), Tom Marchment, Phil Tearle and Alex Pritchard. It could have been a lot more but for some stunning saves from Highworth keeper Martin Parmenter.
