Third placed Wootton Bassett Town came unstuck in their visit to Juventus Juniors. After much early pressure Aaron Stevens put Bassett in front but this was the only goal of the first half as Bassett squandered a number of chances and also found PJ Boyes in excellent form in the Juventus goal. With the wind behind them and playing down the slope Juventus started the second period with much confidence and endeavour and found themselves on level terms when man of the match Chris Moulton fired an unstoppable shot from outside the area after Bassett failed to properly clear a corner. Juventus won the combative battle in the midfield and were rewarded with what turned out to be the winner when Ryan Coulson fired another shot from the edge of the box into the top corner of the net. Wootton Bassett had chances late on through Dean Wason and Sam Higginbottom but Juventus held on for a win that their overall team performance deserved.
