Phil Tearle put the home side in front late on in the first half after Dean Wason put him clear of the Greenmeadow back four. Only a minute had gone in the second period when Steve May equalised for Greenmeadow from a corner. Bassett went back in front with a stunning unstoppable strike from Phil Tearle, Terale curling the ball past keeper Dwain Stratford. Phil Forster scored his first of the season last week but doubled his total with a turn and shot from the edge of the box to make it 3-1. With fifteen minutes remaining Greenmeadow got themselves back into the game with another header from a corner, Josh Little the scorer. With a nervous closing ten minutes looming, Michael Weaving put the result beyond doubt when he hit in following a goalmouth scramble for his first goal of the season.
