Bassett given a footballing lesson by Stratton Juniors

Stratton Juniors who maintained their 100% record when they gave Wootton Bassett a footballing lesson at Ballards Ash. It was fairly even contest for the first twenty minutes until a defensive error allowed Stratton to win possession on the right hand side and a superb cross was met by the head of Dave Glover. Matty Gilder then put the visitors two up when the ball fell to him 25 yards out and he hit a stunning shot over the head of the Bassett keeper. With the momentum Stratton then scored a third through Dave Glover. After the break Bassett tried to get back into the game and whilst they had more of the possession they struggled to get beyond the strong Stratton defence marshalled by captain Danny Wilson. Stratton made the points secure with further goals from Dave Glover, completing his hat-trick, and one from Dan Wilson.
