Bassett go down to early goal

We couldn't have made a worse start to the game when a free kick from the halfway line sailed over everybody's head including keeper Rob Negus and found its way into the top corner to give the visitors the lead after only four minutes in very fortunate circumstances. The big question now was could we be patient and get back into the game and avoid another home defeat and come from behind to get a result which has been a big problem all season for us. Although we enjoyed plenty of possession for the rest of the remaining half we never looked like scoring against a very good Hungerford keeper and the second half was exactly the same as we went more and more direct and only a fine save from Rob Negus kept us in the game.

The match ended with our fourth home defeat of the season and three have been lost 1-0 and our lack of goals is beginning to create a real problem for us as apart from the two games vs Cirencester Utd we have struggled in this area all season and we can't rely on the defence to keep a clean sheet every game.
