Comeback draw for Bassett U14's

One of just two games to survive the weather it was honours even between Wootton Bassett and Wroughton. Playing against the wind Bassett defended stoically but went behind to an own goal from a Wroughton corner. Despite a lot of Wroughton pressure and Joe Shaw continuing to cause Bassett problems down the right flank, this looked like it would be the only goal of the half but Andy Sofroniou extended the home sides lead with a stunning strike in first half injury time.

At half-time Bassett lost their keeper to illness but despite this loss they came back strongly in the second half. Two strikes from the edge of the area from debutant Oli Williams and Phillip Forster gave Bassett a share of the points. Bassett also hit the bar in the closing stages but a draw was a fair result on the balance of play.
