Launched in January 2012, Royal Wootton Bassett Town's Soccer Skills Academy is a community football programme run in partnership with Wiltshire Sports Academy Ltd – one of the leading sports coaching companies in the South West.
The coaching on offer through the Soccer Skills Academy programme is aimed at boys and girls of all abilities from four year olds through to those in school year 11.
The Soccer Skills Academy offers regular sessions on Monday evenings in Royal Wootton Bassett, as well as football camps during the school holidays.
The emphasis of all sessions is on maximum ball contact time, healthy development, learning new skills (both football and social) and – most importantly of all – having fun.
Through the Soccer Skills Academy, there are opportunities to progress into Royal Wootton Bassett Town's youth section teams – with a particular aim being that the Soccer Skills Academy's early years programmes feed into the club's Under 7s and 8s teams.
There is also an opportunity for players who are looking for a higher level of football to progress into the Wiltshire Football Academy FC system, which offers playing opportunities in the Junior Premier League.
Soccer Skills Academy sessions run weekly, during term times, between 5pm & 7pm.

During each school holiday, the Soccer Skills Academy run football holiday camps.
The holiday camps, which take place at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground, are open to boys and girls of all abilities from school reception year through to year 11.
For those players already playing for Royal Wootton Bassett Town or attending the Monday evening Soccer Skills Academy sessions, they are a fantastic opportunity to learn and further develop skills through games, challenges, competitions and matches…..all in a relaxed and fun environment!!!
