Royal Wootton Bassett Town recorded a second consecutive draw as a late Dale Richards goal earned a point away at Brackley Town Saints.
A late Dale Richards goal earned Royal Wootton Bassett Town a point as, for the second time this season, they came from behind to draw 1-1 with Brackley Town Saints.
The youthful hosts had gone ahead in the opening period but were unable to successfully hold out for a victory.
Richards' goal ensured Bassett remain seven points ahead of their 15th place opponents. Yet, that lead should have been extended to nine as Bassett had the ball in the net again after Richards had struck. The ball was a good yard over the line before being cleared, however, unbelievably, neither the referee nor his assistant were able to spot this.
What the draw means is that it's now six games without a win for Paul Braithwaite's side, whose form at the business end of the season has been frustrating, particularly after having enjoyed a splendid run-in this time last year.
