For the first 10 minutes the game was very even with both teams attempting to get into their strides. Highworth managed to break through midfield and then forced themselves through the Bassett defence giving them a shooting opportunity, but Joe is on form and makes the save. Then Bassett break, a great pass from Josh into the feet of Sam, Sam beats the on coming defender and passes back to Josh, Josh run at the goal and smacks the ball in to the back of the net. Bassett are one up from some very good football. Highworth break and only manage to shoot from distance this does not trouble Joe who makes a simple catch. Bassett,s defence of Regan, Jake, Scott and Josh H are working hard in their defence of the Bassett goal. Callum picks the ball up on the left and runs towards to the corner, he beats two players and crosses the ball, and the ball is just in front of Sam who can't quite get his foot onto the ball. Bassett are now starting to pass the ball around, a good ball from Sam finds Josh, Josh shoots but the shot is saved. Highworth are now on the back foot. A good ball from Fraser finds Tyler, Tyler beats three players and shoots, but the ball is just wide of the intended target. The passing from Fraser, Arron, Tyler, Josh W, Callum and Sam is stunning to watch, the Highworth defence do not know which way the next wave of attacks are coming from. Both Scott and Fraser put in some big tackles, you could hear shin pad to shin pad and both players are 100% committed. Bassett are on top and you could see us scoring number two soon. The score at half time is 1 -0 to Bassett.

There was one change at the start of the second half, Callum was replaced by Max. Bassett attack from the off, Regan picks the ball up in the hart of the defence, runs through midfield and plays a great ball for Josh to run onto, Josh picks the ball up and with only the keeper to beat, thumps the ball into the roof of the net, Bassett are now two up and looking very strong. Highworth break but Bassett,s defence is strong and again Regan picks the ball up and drives forward, this time a great pass from Regan finds Sam, Sam runs goal bound and passes the ball to the right of the keeper for Bassett's third.

Max and Sam are working well together, this is supported by both Arron and Fraser Josh W is also running after every ball the effort was there to be seen. Then Bassett's fourth, a very good ball from Fraser finds Sam, Sam runs to the left of the keeper and shoots, the ball fly's into the top of the net, a well taken goal. Sam is replaced by Michael. Highworth manage to get a shot away but the ball travels over the top of Joe's goal. Scott is replaced by Dale. Highworth attack down Bassett's left, they shoot and the ball beats our defenders and rolls into the back of the net, Bassett still in the lead 4-1. Michael picks the ball up and runs at Highworth, he shoots but the ball travels wide of the target. Bassett are on top with our midfield of Fraser and Arron passing well which is breaking up the Highworth defence, a great ball from Arron plays in Michael, Michael is one on one with the keeper, he takes the ball around the keeper, but the shot is wide. Max is working hard and finding some space, Max picks the ball up and travels towards the goal, the defence backs off allowing Max to have a shot, he shoots but the ball hits the side netting. Final score 4-1 to Bassett.
