Bassett started well passing the ball around from the off which was a very different contrast to last Sunday's game. Fraser played a good ball to Sam, Sam drives goal bound and shoots but the Shaw goal keeper saves. Bassett are looking sharp moving the ball around very well. Shaw break down the left and work the space well and shoots Joe save with some ease. Shaw are putting some pressure on Bassett although don't look like scoring. Shaw push a ball through the middle of the Bassett defence Jack clears the ball well away from goal. Then Bassett break, you could see Shaw struggling to defend the Bassett attacks and a corner is given, the corner is not struck that well and Shaw are awarded a goal kick. The Shaw goal keeper takes the goal kick hitting the ball directly to Sam, who controls the ball and slots it pass the goal keeper for Bassett's first. It's all Bassett now, again a good break by Michael, Michael takes the ball down the right beating the Shaw defenders, he then cross the ball for Sam to run onto, but the cross is a little strong.

Then Bassett score a second, a great ball from Regan finds Josh W, Josh takes the ball around the defender and shoots and scores, a great goal. Bassett are now two up. Bassett are all over Shaw, with crisp passing. A very good cross from Arron finds the head of Fraser, the ball travels goal bound only to be cleared off the line by the Shaw defender. Again Bassett attack Michael hits the post followed by Josh W, the third goal is on its way. Arron also gets on the attack testing the Shaw goal keeper but the keeper saves. Shaw break finding some space between our back four of Josh H, Regan, Jack and Dale who attempted to stop the attack, Shaw did not managed to get that close and only managed a shot from distance which was saved by Joe. Then Bassett break again, a good ball from Callum finds Michael who attempts to break through the Shaw's defence, but Michael finds himself jammed and tries to dig the ball out for the shot, the shot is a little weak and is easily saved. Both the central defenders of Jack and Regan are playing well covering for each other. Again the combination of Regan and Josh plays dividends, a great switch by Regan finds Josh who runs with the ball goal bound, shoots and scores Bassett are now three up and cruising. Josh H is playing well in the back and encouraged to support Arron, which he does playing a great ball into Arron, Arron runs at the defenders and shoots, but the shot is saved. It's still all Bassett. Then the fourth goal Fraser picks the ball up from the left and beats two Shaw defenders and passes to Arron, Arron shoots and hits the back of the net. At the end of the first half Bassett lead 4-0.

The second half kicked off with a few changes, Michael is replaced by Max, and Dale is replaced by Scott. From the off Bassett are pushing Shaw back passing the ball well, but then Shaw find some form and push Bassett back. Shaw squeezed Bassett for 15 minutes into the second half, although they had many attempts on goal all of which were dealt with by Bassett. Then Callum picks the ball up and plays a great ball to Sam, who breaks the off side trap and runs at the goal, Sam places the ball to the goal keepers left, the keeper dives left but can not stop the ball from hitting the back of the net. Bassett lead by 5. Max is playing on the right and passing the ball well linking up with Josh H and Sam. Jake is on and Jack is off. Shaw managed to break through, but can only shoot from distance which is no challenge for Joe who saves. Regan is off and Jack is back on and Sam is replaced by Michael. Then Bassett's sixth, a good pass from Josh W allows Fraser to go for goal, like a train Fraser runs at the defenders, and scores. Dale is on and Callum is off. A great run down the right by Max, Max beats three Shaw players and crosses the ball, Fraser picks the ball up, turns and shoots, but the ball is just wide of the target. Arron is off and Michael is back on. Michael picks up the ball from midfield and plays a great ball to Sam, Sam shoots and finds the top corner, goal of the day for me. Bassett now lead by 7. Josh W is off and Callum is back on. A good ball from Callum finds Fraser, Fraser forces himself through the defenders and shoots and scores, Basset now have 8 and Shaw have no answer to Bassett's attack. A good ball from Max finds Regan, Regan pushes forward beating two defenders and shoots, goal. Bassett are now 9 up. Max is playing well on the right taking Shaw on at every opportunity. Max picks the ball up on the right and drives goal bound, Shaw lunge in on Max, Max goes down and is awarded a penalty. Michael stands up and cracks the ball in to the left hand side of the goal. Bassett are now ten up. Shaw then gain a consolation goal, a very good strike by Shaw sends the ball high and goal bound, Joe starts running back into his goal but the ball beats him. Final score 10-1 to Bassett.

A great team effort, just what the team needed after last weekend. The passing was improved and the ball was pushed wide on many occasions it was great to see. Well done to all.
