Today we played the return match against Purton who were very fortunate to beat us earlier in the season. We started the game well and created two good opportunities from Max and Kier and with a little more composure we would have got off to the ideal start. However as the game progressed it became obvious that Purton had improved greatly. They were dangerous on the break and Robert, Tom and Jordan at the back had to be alert and they dealt with any attacks well.

As the game progressed we continually attacked and eventually a fantastic through ball from Ollie found Max with a clear run on goal from which he made no mistake in scoring the opener. This pushed us further forward and time after time Eddie, Max and Ollie created chances. Keir playing up front worked hard with no reward but his presence was causing problems. From another move Max crossed superbly for Ollie at the back post who controlled the cross, beat a player and finished superbly to make it 2-0. This is was the score at half time.

For the second half Cam, Charlie and Josh came on and all did well working hard for the team. Josh playing up front created lots of openings that we were unlucky not to convert. Charlie in midfield controlled everything in the centre and Cam on the left played very well and got stuck into the tackles. Tom and Eddie at the back ensured Jordan had little to do and when he did he made sure the clean sheet remained intact. The final score was 2-0. A good performance which showed second half how little there is between many of the players. A great performance by all of the squad.
