Today′s game was against Shrivenham and Watchfield in the first round of the league cup. Our opponents are not in our division in the league so we did not really know what to expect.

We opened the scoring when Charlie Skeates provided the finishing touch to a good move. Shrivenham equalised when a long range shot that bounced over our goalkeeper. We continued to enjoy the lions share of the play and Charlie fired in his second goal to give us the lead and the score at half time was 2-1.

We started the second half well and we were comfortably in control of the game. Charlie picked the ball up in midfield and powered through their defence before driving in an unstoppable shot to claim his second hat trick of the season. With around five minutes of the game remaining Charlie hit another powerful shot that their goalkeeper could only push away and Josh Coventry finished neatly from the rebound.

A very good team performance to extend our unbeaten run and take us into the next round of the cup.
