First of all sorry about the delayed match report but I had to go to Portugal on business. Shame but someone had to do it!!!

The match kicked off and immediately the action was end to end with both sides having good shots at goal saved. Eventually after 5 minutes Callum breaks the deadlock with a fine goal after some good work in midfield from the lads. The Bee′s were awarded a penalty soon after but Jack Clarke′s fine shot was blocked by the keeper however Callum was lurking and cool as a cucumber slotted the ball home for the Bee′s second goal.

Again end to end play followed with good runs from Dec, Matt, Josh and the new player Josh Brierley-Barton. With 5 minutes of the first half remaining Tom tried to save at the feet of a Hungerford forward and received a nasty kick in the mouth and was unable to save the ensuing goal. Tom received treatment for several minutes but eventually had to go off and be substituted by Jack Clarke.

Jack made some good saves and the defenders Jack Watling and George helped by good tenacious tackling from Theo kept Hungerford at bay. An unlucky own goal by Hungerford gives the Bee′s a half time lead of 3-1.

After 10 minutes of the re-start Tom decides he′s o.k. to come back on in goal and is put to the test again on the ground making a great save and emerges unscathed this time. Josh has a powerful shot saved after 20 minutes. Good defending by George protects Tom in goal who again makes a fine save after 25 minutes. A last gasp attack by Hungerford results in a headed goal bringing the score to 3-2. At last the final whistle blows for a much-deserved win by the Bee′s.

This was a very physical match but all the lads showed grit and determination and didn′t allow themselves to be pushed around. The home crowd got behind the lads this week and supported from the word go which was nice to see.
