We started our third game with a sudden downfall of rain. Luckily it did dye off before kick-off but the pitch was still slightly wet. With a strong team spirit ready to go out and fill our full potential of the game the lads were ready to stay at the top of the league. The game started even with both of the keepers being tested early, Purton began to show more determination to beat our keeper and eventually did with a shot in the bottom corner, and Tom Law had no chance of saving.

As we went one nil down Bassett were more defensive as Purton had the upper hand.

About 10 minutes before half time Bassett started to test the away team goal keeper more and he saved everything that was thrown at him.

The second half stared with Wootton Bassett finding an extra gear forcing more saves from the Purton goal keeper but some strong defending to from the away side Bassett still couldn′t get an equaliser.

Purton were difficult to handle from the counter attack with some chances created from the away side.

After a succession of corners from the home side they finally got the equaliser the ball broke to the edge of the box at a difficult angle to Callum Garlick who lobbed the keeper into the far corner.

After great work from Declan Wallace on the right Josh Rowland controlled the cross and placed the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 2-1 to Wootton Bassett.

Soon after that a great goal from jack Clarke after he run after a long ball up field he smacked the ball past the keeper to make it 3-1 to Wootton Bassett.

Purton didn′t really seem like they could get anything back from the match now with man of the match Callum Garlick and the rest of the lads playing to there full potential and holding on to there 3-1 win.
