A disappointing result despite an excellent performance in difficult circumstances. Bassett were forced to play much of the game with just 10 men after Dan Lowes was harshly sent off for handball in the first half. Cricklade failed to score from the resulting penalty. Bassett held the visitors for most of the match, despite the numerical disadvantage, and the visitors only made sure of the points with a second five minutes from time.
