Back to back defeats at the hands of Ferndale Rodbourne

On a wet and dismal afternoon Bassett were simply out classed in the second half of this match, rueing the chances which had been missed in the first half. In the opening half hour, on three occasions Jonny Aitkenhead put the ball into the Ferndale six-yard box in dangerous positions only to see his fellow team mates stand by and watch as Ferndale were allowed to clear. At the other end, Ferndale showed the Bassett players how to finish, Adam Leighfield putting them ahead and Jake Page adding a second. In cold and wet conditions the half time whistle was welcomed by players and fans alike as a chance to get out of the awful conditions.

The second half was a one sided affair as Adam Leighfield scored two more to register a hat-trick and Aaron Stevens also hit three goals. The final whistle brought an end to Bassett's misery but their terrible run now stands at six consecutive defeats after such a promising start to the season.
