Poor performance against bogey side Malmesbury

The Under 11's put in another poor performance at Malmesbury, losing by 3 goals to nil. Second place now depends on us beating Ferndale Rodbourne and hoping that Malmesbury

can also take points off Ferndale in the two matches between the two sides. This was our worst performance of the season and the lack of training is now starting to show. There was no passing, the players reverting to the big punt or an aimless dribble, and the Bassett side were very weak in the challenge, allowing Malmesbury players to win challenges they should never have got near. Hopefully Bassett will be able to get some training in before meeting Ferndale else they will have to make do with 3rd or even 4th place in the table. The only players to come out of the match today with any credit were Josh Dimond and Dan Strange and the three substitutes, Stuart Smedley, Dean Wason and Phillip Forster. Things can only get better.
