This was a comfortable win against the side at the bottom of the table. Bassett managed to secure the three points and also give games to a couple of the children who do not normally make the side and leave out /substitute some of the ever presents. Bassett led 5-0 at half time thanks to goals from Mike Ford (2), Jonny Aitkenhead, Tom Marchment and Sean Toomey. Only two more goals were scored in the second half through Phillip Tearle and Phillip Forster. The score would have been a lot higher but for some excellent goalkeeping from Jonathan Jones in the Blunsdon goal and the fact that the pitch cut up badly in the second half, making it difficult to play any sort of football. Bassett remain in second place in the league but have a much tougher game next week when they entertain league leaders Stratton Youth at Rylands Way.
