Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development started their long stretch of home fixtures to end their Wiltshire League Premier Division campaign with a heavy 5-2 loss against Pewsey Vale.

Pewsey Vale went into the game away having won three games on the spin. And they extended that winning run with an impressive performance.

James Guthrie has been in fine goalscoring form since returning to the club and he continued that as he made it eight goals in just seven appearances with a hat-trick. The other Pewsey goals were scored by Wayne House and Development team manager Kierron Kiff.

Harry Bunce and George Lance scored in reply for Bassett, the latter finding the net from the penalty spot.

The win for Pewsey saw them climb to fourth place in the table, two points behind Wroughton in third spot.
