Nine Games Unbeaten

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development who climbed to seventh place in the Wiltshire Senior League Premier Division as Mark Simpkins' side made it nine unbeaten with a win at Stratton Juniors.

In difficult conditions at Merton Fields, the 2-0 score was a repeat of the result when the two sides had met at the Sustain Stadium back in September.

Star of the show was youngster Kevin Lartey who scored two excellent first half goals. The first saw Lartey pick up the ball on the half way line and then proceed to dribble past a whole host of Stratton players to reach the edge of the 18-yard box and then fire in at the near post.

He then made it 2-0 ten minutes from half time, firing in from a similar spot to the first goal although there was no mazy dribble on this occasion.

Lartey could well have completed his hat-trick late on in the game but in the end he had to settle for the two goals and his side extending that unbeaten run with their seventh clean sheet in their last eight games.
