Pewsey Vale triumphed 2-1 against Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development in the first meeting between the two teams since last season's title decider.
Pewsey had fallen down the table on the back of a six game run without a win, but that run was finally brought to an end with their success over Bassett.
In addition to winning last season's title showdown at the Recreation Ground, Bassett had also won on their previous visit.
There was to be no third straight win for the visitors as Pewsey avenged those defeats thanks to two goals from Haydn Amor.
Euan Spackman scored Bassett's lone goal.
