Big result on a big pitch

Another great game for the bullets with a 12.00 o′clock K/O the ground was soft and NO ICE present.

The weather was cold and windy though so it was important to keep the boys warm. The game was played at Supermarine and the pitch was massive, probably the biggest pitch we′ve ever played on, the boys looked lost with space everywhere, with this in mind we tried to play our passing game and make the ball do the work rather than us running our socks off.

The game started well with Lydiard not really having any shape which was good news for us, every pass into space seemed to fall to a Bassett player, the boys had a lot of chances but couldn′t seem to hit the net, the breakthrough came after 13 mins another great ball from Jack to Scott who beat a defender and scored, 1-0 to Bassett.

The second goal came for Bassett around 2 mins later, another goal from Scott and with the boys starting to take control, the half time whistle came just in time for Lydiard with Bassett Bullets ending the half leading by 2 goals to 0.

The second half started with Bassett totally dominating the game and Lydiard never having a shot on goal, another goal from Scott halfway through the half gave him his hatrick and the bullets a comfortable lead. The boys were really working hard and concentrating on keeping their shape and with 2 mins left to play Scott got his 4th, this is the way it ended 4-0 to Bassett, Brilliant!!

Only 5 games left till the end of the season and still unbeaten, keep it up boys!!
