What a result on the mud

The boys had a late kick off this week due to another game being played at Rodbourne, it was a cold, damp day with the Rodbourne pitch like a mud bath, the game started well with both sides battling hard in midfield, the Bassett boys were complaining the ball was to hard, so I decided to take a closer look sure enough it was twice as hard as it should have been, after deflating the ball the basset bullets started to play their passing game we know they can, with the ball sticking in the mud and the boys boots getting heavier and heavier, everyone was getting tired very quickly.

The first goal came with a brilliant pass from Jack in midfield to Scott in the Rodbourne box who managed to squeeze it pass the keeper. 1-0 Bassett.

Soon after the restart the next goal came with Scott scoring his second, then Rodbourne got the ball in midfield and after stringing 2-3 passes together they managed to get behind the Bassett boys at the back with danger looming of Rodbourne scoring Charan came out to close down the angle and managed to make a superb save. WELL DONE Charan.

The half ended with basset boys leading 2-0.

The second half started with Bassett playing with the wind behind them, after 3 mins the bullets made it 3-0 with a goal from Jack then the goals started to come think and fast with Rodbourne showing signs of tiredness.

Then the final whistle with the bullets scoring 9, the goals came from Scott x6 , Jack x2, & a own goal.

Another great game, with the Bullets achieving a superb 9-0 victory.
