Well another outstanding performance by the ′Bassett Bullets′ we were faced with a potentially very difficult game this morning against Lydiard Youth.

Lydiard have only lost one game before today which indicated they have some very good players in there side. They started the game by putting our boys under enormous pressure by forcing a corner.

After the initial onslaught from Lydiard the bullets started to wake up and play some of the football we all know they can. Some excellent passing from Jack B. and Harry in midfield again assisting Scott up front who converted them into goals.

A great first half by the boys, that ended 5-0 to Bassett.

The second half started very well and Bassett turned the screw on Lydiard who were still attacking our defence with every opportunity, the bullets worked hard and earned themselves a free kick on the edge of the box this gave Jack B. the opportunity to put all his practice into action and with a Beckham style finish it certainly payed off and finished off Lydiard. We saw the game out with another couple of goals and some brilliant tackling.

The Defence, Charan, Thomas and Chris worked very hard to keep Lydiard out and with Jack H.′s first full game in goal what a dream start, a clean sheet.

Let′s keep up the set pieces and hard work.
