Wootton Bassett Town moved into third spot after two wins over the weekend. On Saturday they eventually ran out comfortable 11-1 winners over Wroughton C but the score very much flattered the home side as it was some 25 minutes into the game before they conceded a goal, Phil Tearle hitting a stunning strike into the top corner of the net. The same player made it 2-0 before Sam Higginbottom scored a goal almost identical to the first to make it 3-0 at the break. Higginbottom then extended Bassett′s lead before Reece Miller pulled a goal back for Wroughton. Two further goals from Phil Tearle, a hat-trick from substitute Alex Pritchard plus goals from Tom Marchment and Aaron Stevens completed the scoring.
