Bassett steer into calmer waters

After the battle against Siddington of last week, Bassett steered into calmer waters coming up against our neighbours Westbrook. Westbrook always gives us a hard but fair game every time we play them. The game had barely started when Ryan Amos scored within a minute from a rebound from the keeper. So this was the pattern of the game with Ryan scoring a further 3 to take his tally to 4 in this game without reply.

Fraser the keeper was rarely troubled but came through when required. Grant (Captain) playing against his old team had settle in with a good solid game today and you could see he was up for it. Nick Buckle (MOTM) was every where today he controlled the game with his passing ,his running, his shooting and his overall commitment was pleasing to the eye and lets hope he can carry on his form this season. As usual Chopper played well in defence and in midfield. Ellis filled Jacks boots in midfield with plenty of tackling and running, Cole solid as usual and very rarely missing anything played his usual game. With Josh's long throws and Seb's corners contributing to the win they both had a quite game today by their standards but both did enough to get through the game . Tom up front played well at times holding up the ball and his game is getting better. Overall the team passed the ball around fought for each other but they need to talk more as a team.

Well done lads.
