A win at last

In the Subsidiary Cup Group B, the team that had forgotten how to win, Wootton Bassett Town, finally won a game for the first time since 21st September when they defeated Wroughton on Friday night. A powerful left foot strike from Phillip Forster put Bassett in front at the break and a second half penalty from Phillip Tearle, after the same player had been upended in the box, put Bassett two up. A late strike from Jonny May made for a few nervous moments and Bassett keeper Sean Toomey was forced into a great save with his feet in the last minute but the Bassett defence held out for a deserved win.
