Following their stunning away win against Devizes Town Youth last week, Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 12 Blue continued their winning ways with a stunning 9-0 home win against Lydiard Millicent Juniors.

A consistent theme of the game was excellent set piece delivery from Joshua Sturmey. This was shown as early as the first corner of the game as the ball flew directly into the goal. The lead was shortly doubled with another fine corner which was rifled in by a Mikey Lynch header. A well placed Caden Jefferies shot extended the lead before a cracking Thomas Nicholls volley and a Matthew Jones clinical finish from close range made it 5-0 at half time.

The second half continued in similar vein when Louis Portock converted a fine Bassett move. Two quick-fire, fine goals from Caden Jefferies made it eight before Ed Greenouff rounded of the proceedings with a ninth goal as much of the team piled forward to try and get on the scoresheet.

It was a great result for the team, moving them back up into mid-table.

Next up is FC Calne Galaxy at home, in which manager Martin Jefferies will be confident the team can continue their recent resurgence of form and secure another home win.
