Smith hat-trick downs Bassett in season finale

Second placed Kintbury Rangers had been hoping that Wroughton slip up else their defence of their title was likely to fall short despite losing just once in seventeen when they visited Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development. Having defeated their opponents 8-1 back in October a tougher game was expected as Royal Wootton Bassett were unbeaten in their previous three games and so it proved. George Smith scored twice to put Kintbury in the driving seat, but Bailey Gallagher then pulled one back for Royal Wootton Bassett Town to make it 2-1. However, Smith made sure the visitors left with all three points when he fired in an unstoppable free kick into the Bassett net to complete his hat-trick with his 17th of the season.
