Debutant Mitchell des the damage as Bassett lose narrowly

Fourth placed Melksham Town Reserves went into their game against Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development on the back of their worst run of the season which had seen them win just one of their previous five games. Opponents Bassett in contrast were on their best run of the season having defeated both Cricklade Town and Trowbridge Town in their previous two games. In a tight affair it was Melksham who were celebrating come Saturday night as they took the three points following a narrow 2-1 win. Two goals for Adam Mitchell on his debut for Melksham following his transfer from Corsham Town. The first a header in the first half the second a penalty after the break to ensure Melksham took the points. Finley Sly with the solitary goal for the visitors.
