Withers and Lincoln secure hat-tricks in big win

It has been a frustrating season for Royal Wootton Bassett Town Developments top scorer from last season Ryan Withers. Injured at the back end of last season he has spent most of this season on the side lines but his return to the side has seen an improvement in recent results. Two first half goals from Withers plus two also from Players' Player of the Year Nick Mason, taking him to five for the season, helped Royal Wootton Bassett Town to a 5-1 half-time lead over visitors Marlborough Town, Rob Lincoln with the other goal for the home side in the first period. Withers duly completed his hat-trick after the break and two further goals from Lincoln gave him his hat-trick as well as he also moved onto the five-goal mark for the season. Carl Shepherd completed the scoring for a rampant Royal Wootton Bassett side as they ran out 9-2 winners. The consolation goals for Marlborough came from Cian Cabell and Aaron Presley. The win lifted Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development a place in the table.
