Bassett go down to heavy defeat at Shrewton

Shrewton United returned back to the top of the league after an impressive 6-2 home win over Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development. Playing their first home game of the season after five on the road to kick off the season they dominated the young Royal Wootton Bassett Town side in the second half and quickly put behind them last week's defeat at Cricklade. In a good all-round team performance, Shrewton led 2-1 at the break but a third just after the break was the killer goal and they went on to score three more. The goals were shared across the team with one apiece for Zac Mcnally, Dominic Jackson, veteran Jesse Walters, Ryan Jones, Tyren Harrington and Craig Lewis, the latter with his eighth of the season. The two consolation goals for the young Royal Wootton Bassett Development side coming from Josh Bolton and Tyrhys Mifsud.
