A perfect dozen

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Ladies maintained their perfect record in the South West Women's Football League Eastern Division with a comfortable 4-0 home triumph against local rivals F.C. Chippenham.

Bassett's twelfth consecutive league victory was earned off the back of a Michelle Rich brace and further goals from Lisa Coe and Laura Gammon.

A thundering long range free kick from Rich opened the scoring before Lisa Coe doubled Bassett's lead with her first of the campaign, hooking in from close range after the Chippenham 'keeper could only parry away a Rich header from Laura Jefferies' towering corner.

After the restart, Gammon put the outcome beyond doubt, latching onto a Hayley Huckin pass before slotting home her fifteenth of the season.

Rich then completed the scoring, finishing well with a strike across the 'keeper that found the bottom corner.
