Ladies into County Cup final four

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Ladies comfortably avoided an upset as they booked their place in the Wiltshire County Women's Cup semi finals with a 6-2 victory against Laverstock and Ford.

The Wiltshire County Women's League visitors, who like Bassett are undefeated in the league and top of their division, came to the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground with the hopes of pulling off a surprise victory.

But Bassett ended up having too much firepower for the south Wiltshire side to cope with.

Laura Gammon led the way for the hosts with a hat trick, while leading scorer Beth Westlake netted a brace. Hayley Huckin completed the scoring for Bassett, who will be joined in the last four by South West Women's League rivals Swindon Town Development and Swindon Spitfires as well as one County League side.
