Ugly win maintains Ladies' perfect record

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Ladies maintained their 100% record in the South West Women's Football League Eastern Division courtesy of a narrow 1-0 victory away against Cheltenham Civil Service.

Unlike in their first two wins of the season, Becky Gammon's side weren't at their best. But they can take solace from the fact that, in spite of that, they pulled through to again take all three points.

The decisive moment of the game came when Laura Gammon headed home Jess Dent's right wing cross.

The Ladies now take a week off from league action, as they turn their attentions to the Wiltshire County Cup and a trip to Market Lavington and Easterton United in the opening round.
