19 Sep 2010 - Trowbridge Town (H)

This was the first match of the season for Wootton Bassett against a strong Trowbridge Town side. Although the Wootton Bassett Team played well, they were under pressure from the opposition, who managed to get through Wootton Bassett's defences and scored twice, 13 and then 17 minutes into the match. In the second half, again, Trowbridge Town had the upper hand and despite the best efforts of Wootton Bassett's defence and good goal-keeping, they managed to score another two goals, about 5 and 10 minutes into the match. However, Wootton Bassett were not dejected and fought back hard. Finally, 2 minutes from the end of the match, Wootton Bassett were rewarded for their determination with a goal from Felicity Talbot, who scored after a pass by Chloe Elmore. A very good start for Wootton Bassett, which they can certainly build upon.
