Bassett end a good season with another win

Bassett had their last game of the season. For the first ten minutes Highworth had the upper hand scoring a goal midway through the first half, when our defence were caught going too far forward. Bassett took a long while to get warmed up but after a while Jake Matthews got onto a loose ball and scored an equaliser, giving the lads more confidence. Towards the end of the first half Sam Lowkis scored Bassetts second goal putting Bassett 2 -1 at half time. Second half a few changes were made bringing on Tyler Amos who linked up well with Jake and Ben Mattick. A few minutes into the second half Tyler scored Bassetts third goal.

The defence of Scott Walduck and Oliver Rigby were kept very busy at the back making Joe Paishs job a little easier even though he was kept on his toes. Jake scored a second and third goal after some good passing from the midfield. Highworth scored their second goal and also Bassetts sixth goal (0G) making the final score 6 -2 to Bassett
