Big win at Minety

This was our 8th game of the season coming away with a convincing 22 - 2 win against Minety, it was also the kids first game playing in the wet and our highest scoring game of the season. A great team effort and a good team performance by all. To be honest Bassett were all over Minety. Credit to Minety F.C. and their supporters they played well, enjoyed, and supported their team right to the end.

In the first half Bassett were playing really well ,with Oliver Rigby and Scott Walduck having a good but easy game in defence. Soaking up all the rain and anything else that came their way. Joe Paish played in goal and was keeping on his toes trying to keep warm. Midfield of Jake Matthews, Tyler Amos and Ben Mattick played well together in the first half and by half time it was 14-1 to Bassett. At half time a couple of changes were made with Josh Hulbert and Sam Lowkis coming on to play in midfield and settled well in that position. There were many good points about the game in the way the team played together and helped each other out. Towards the end of the second half the team were starting to lose their shape and the game was getting a bit scrappy. The team was as follows with goals in brackets : Joe Paish, Oliver Rigby, Scott Walduck( 1 ), Sam Lowkis ( 3 ), Ben Mattick ( 3 ), Tyler Amos ( 6 ), Jake Matthews ( 8 ), Josh Hulbert ( 1 ). Well Done Lads!!
