Clean sheet for Paish

Wootton Bassett under 8's played their second league game away to Eldene Rangers, and came away with a 9-0 win. The team are starting to play well together. With the mid field of Jake Matthews, who scored a goal, and Tyler Amos who scored seven goals. They are doing some very good and encouraging passing, with Scott Walduck on the right who's always running and looking for space. The mid field were putting some good balls through to Ben Mattick who played up front and never stopped running throughout, and came away with a well deserved goal.

The defence of Sam Lowkis and Oliver Rigby, were solid. They were even passing the ball back and forth to each other, almost playing keep ball. (NERVE RACKING AT TIMES!) With the keeper of Joe Paish who didn't have a great deal to do in goal, pulled off some very good saves when called upon. Well done Joe.

Overall it was a good team effort, pleasing and encouraging start to the season. Well Done !!!! Finally, we went on to play a friendly against Eldene Reserves, bringing on Declan, Josh, and Nathan. To show some of their skills, which they did by coming away with a 12-0 win!
