Hat-tricks for Amos and Matthews

Bassett under 8's had their return home game against Eldene Rangers, coming away with a 9 - 0 win to Bassett. Bassett were the dominant side all through, but Eldene never up and were always chasing the ball. Sam Lowkis and Oliver Rigby played well in defence soaking up any attacks that Eldene made. Leaving Joe Paish in goal not having to do an awful lot in this game. But he did keep on his toes moving around,( mainly to keep warm!) But always at the ready.

Midfielders Jake Matthews who scored 2 goals and Tyler Amos who scored 3 goals played well with little Scott Walduck out on the right having another good game with confident tackling going in and some nice passing down the wing to Jake and Ben.

Up front Ben Mattick pulled off some superb twists and turns and was rewarded by scoring a hattrick. Nathan Tearle came on in the second half playing down the wing settling straight into position scoring a well earned goal from the right.

All the players are starting to play together and for each other. Overall it was a good team effort! After the League game we went on to play a friendly coming away with a 5 - 1 win. The whole team had a turn around. Tyler and Scott volunteered to do goal for half a game each. James, Joe, Declan, Josh and Ted played fairly well as a team with Nathan playing up front scoring 2 goals, Josh scoring 1, and Joe scoring 2. Well done lads! Keep it up!
