The Town team, who were defeated by Bushton United in a Calne and District League match three weeks ago, had their revenge on Saturday when the return game was played on the Sports Ground. At the interval the home side led by three goals (Perry, Bull and Gleed) to one (Smith), and in the second half further goals were registered by Compton and Embling for the Town, and by Smith and Page for the United, the result being: Wootton Bassett 5 Bushton 3. Amongst the spectators were Capt. W.E. Russell and Mr F.F. Jefferies of the Wilts FA.

The Town will receive Lowden in a Calne and District League match tomorrow, and their team will be: V.R. Waite; F.C.W. Drury and H. Clarke; H. Bartlett, W.Ogbourne and J.G. Fry; D.Bull, F.F. Perry, A. Embling, D. (sic) Gleed and A. Compton.
