The Town gained a clear-cut victory on Saturday, when, on the Chippenham Town ground, they defeated Lowden in a Calne and District league match by 5 goals to 1. In the second half, D. Bull, the visitors' outside right, was off the field for some time with an injury, but his side held their own. Goals were scored for the Town by A. Embling (3), S. Gleed and F.F. Perry.

The Town will entertain Sherston tomorrow in the second round of the Wilts Junior Cup Competition and the team will be: C.R. Waite; F.C.W. Drury and R.Beazley; A. Compton, H. Clarke and J.G. Fry; D. Bull, F.F. Perry, A. Embling, S. Gleed and H. Bartlett.
