A match which was in the nature of a "local derby" took place on the Sports ground on Saturday, when Bushton were the visitors in a Calne and District League fixture. A large crowd watched an exciting game. Within 15 minutes Sandell gave the Town the lead after good work by Ogbourne, who himself sent in a shot from the touch line which beat Comley. It was only the good play of the home defence that had kept the visitors from scoring.

During the second half Bushton put up a great fight, but the Town were equal to the occasion and Titcombe made the issue safe when he scored a third goal. Tomorrow the Town's first eleven will visit Calne Reserves in a Calne and District League match, and the team will be: C. R. Waite: A. S. Beale and H. Clarke: J. Norris, E. Tull, and A. Compton, W. Ogbourne, L. W. Chequers,. M. Titcombe, H. O. Morris and W. Sandell.
