Unbeaten record preserved

Wootton Bassett Town preserved their unbeaten record and strengthened their position at the top of the Calne and District League by defeating Derry Hill (away) on Saturday by 2 goals to nil. For fully 20 minutes both sides had an equal share of the game, but eventually the Town showed better football, and Chequers gave his side the lead. Just before half-time Titcombe headed into the net from an excellent centre by Hunt.

The second half saw an even display, and both goalkeepers did well. The Town were better together than their opponents, but praise is due to Weston and Beer. who did good work for Derry Hill.
