Wootton Bassett Town, home on Saturday, strengthened their position at the head of the Calne and District League table, defeating Derry Hill by 6 goals to 2. The Town were superior in all departments, and goals were scored in the first half by Titcombe (2), and Norris (from a penalty), while Bowen netted for the visitors.

In the second half Sandell, Titcombe and Morris added goals for the town, and Bowen scored for Derry Hill.

The Town's first eleven will receive a visit from Avebury in a Calne and District League match tomorrow, and the result will have an important bearing on the championship. The home team will be: H. W. Boulter: A. S. Beale, and H. Clarke; J. Norris, E. Tull and A. Compton: W. Ogbourne, L. W. Chequers, M. Titcombe, H. Morris and W. Sandell.
