Wootton Bassett Town preserved their unbeaten record in a Calne and District League match at home on Saturday, defeating Cherhill by 10 goals to 3. In the first five minutes C. Roles gave the Town the lead, and play continued in their favour for about 30 minutes, when Roles scored again. The visitors improved, and Scott reduced the lead and Green equalised. In the last few minutes of the first half goals were scored for the Town by Chequers and Sandell, and Andrews got a third for Cherhill. Just on half-time Roles scored a fifth for the home side. In the second half the Town were superior in every department and further goals were scored by Roles (3), Chequers and Titcombe. The visitors' goalkeeper gave a fine display.
