Town played their eighth League match without defeat Saturday, when Calne Reserves were the visitors and were defeated by 11 goals to 1. Play was very even for the first 15 minutes. Chequers then gave the Town the lead and Ogbourne put them further ahead. Roles scored a third, and it was close on half time when Chequers added the Town's fourth goal.

In the second half the Town were superior in every department, and goals were scored by Roles (2), Ogbourne (3), Beale, Titcombe and Sandell. Towards the end Critchley registered Calne's solitary goal from a breakaway.
